What’s Inside Each Basket?
We take great pride in what goes into our baskets. Each one is:
- Hand-planted in a strong 16″ wire basket with a heavy-duty liner and sturdy metal hanging chain.
- Filled with rich compost, slow-release fertiliser, and UK-grown flower plugs – grown from seeds or cuttings.
- Carefully watered, fed, and pinched back during the growing period, so they’re healthy, well-rooted, and bursting with potential when they arrive at your door.
Every single basket is made by hand, no mass production here! Just proper, homegrown baskets from a small, independent Teesside business that really cares.

How Big Will My Basket Grow?
When we deliver your basket, it will be in the early stages of growth. It’ll still be full and colourful, but with lots of space to flourish in the months ahead. With a little bit of care and attention, each basket can grow to a whopping 35–50 cm in diameter, trailing beautifully over the sides as the summer goes on. Please read and follow the care sheet provided to you when you purchased your hanging basket, this will ensure you get the best display of flowers.
We include a free care sheet with every order to help you get the very best out of your basket. Don’t worry, if you’ve never looked after a hanging basket before, it’s easy with our guide, it walks you through it step by step.

How Do I Look After My Basket?
Looking after your basket is easy, and very rewarding! Here are our top tips for keeping it happy and healthy all summer long:
- Where to Hang It: Use a strong, 18-20″ bracket screwed securely into brick or wood. We don’t recommend hanging from fences, our baskets are heavy when wet, and need a sturdy hanger.
- Sunshine: These baskets love the sun! A south or west-facing wall is ideal. They’ll still do well in lighter shade, but the more sun, the more flowers.
- Watering: Check daily – just lift the basket from underneath. If it feels light, give it a thorough soak until water runs out of the bottom. On hot days, you may need to water twice, once in the morning and again in the evening.
- Feeding: Begin feeding 2 weeks after delivery. A tomato feed or balanced liquid fertiliser every 10-14 days works wonders for flower production!
- Deadheading: Removing faded flowers and leggy stems helps the basket keep producing new blooms. A quick tidy once or twice a week makes a big difference.
- Watch for Pests: Keep an eye out for aphids and whitefly. If needed, use a gentle, bee-safe spray, or rinse them off with water.
Follow these simple steps and your basket will reward you with months of dazzling colour and gorgeous growth!

We don’t use short cuts, mass production, or cheap plants. Every basket is made to order, using top-quality UK-grown stock, and given the time and care it needs to thrive. It’s the kind of thing you just don’t get at big garden centres!
Our baskets are lush, full, and alive with colour. They’re made to stop people in their tracks, and they do!
